At 12V this can drive a 30W load with a little headroom to spare. I recently used this speed controller on a DC pump to decrease the flow rate in a force carbonation setup. The pump I used is this one: LINK REMOVED - which is rated for the same power as this controller is rated for. It worked flawlessly. Not only was I able to slow the flow rate but this thing didn't even get hot.
