I use alcohol pads to clean my face after a double cleanse, then I use geek & gorgeous Hyaluronic Acid (HA) as ‘slip’ and go over my face in a small squares going up and down then over that using side to side motions. I do .75 on forehead, neck and chest increasing it to 1 for rest of face. I the slather HA on for about an hour, the next day I use caster oil-and lots of SPF if I’m going out. After 48hrs I go back to my usual skincare and apply make-up once more. It’s easy to use and does smart a little bit, I did find the charge went quickly but overall this is value for money. I’ve done 3 sessions a week apart and the hyperpigmentation is reducing nicely, my pores are shrinking AND my jowls (again thanks peri-m) are reducing too. Going to carry on and do 10 sessions and see where I’m at. I use the 12 needles thingie and just throw it away after my 30-40mins session. I do love that you can buy replacement needle heads which i absolutely will do. I really hope you find this helpful! Review: Better then going to a professional - I had 3 mironeedle sessions completed by an aesthetician, they are extremley expensive and a lot of the appointment time is pre-setup and after care, I don't feel much time is allocated for me to get the results I want, from microneedling. I used this device with Emla numbing cream. I applied 20minutes before, washed this off and used 0.1 chlorhexidine antiseptic (£5 on desertcart), to remove the excess. I applied Hyaluronic acid and used the device as per the manual instructions, but at the minimum to mid range needle depth. Continuously applying hyalorinic acid, to ensure the pen doesn’t drag against my skin. You need to make sure everything you are going to use is clean, including hands (I also used antibacterial wipes on the device handle, my hyalorinic acid bottle and my mobile phone). Once completed, I washed my face with plain water and applied more hyalorinic acid to damp skin. By using the numbing cream, I only felt the vibration of the pen, where as I felt everything when going to the aesthetician as she doesn't apply numbing cream for that long. For me it was a much more enjoyable experience and I was able to go over the sections I felt required it to my satisfaction. Post microneedling, my redness disappeared after 2 hours and was not swollen, where as it is nearly a whole day with the aesthetician, but I feel that is linked to a mask that she puts on after, that makes my skin sting, and may not be suitable for sensitive skin. For my next use in 4 weeks, I will go up in speed and use the maximum needle depth, as I feel my skin can tolerate that. The manual instructions, are very informative and cover pre care and after care steps until you are able to return to your normal facial routine. This is a great device, solid and sturdy and holds charge well. I just wish I had gone for the 9 speed model from the same brand, as this comes with many more needles and there is only a five quid difference. Skin peels for about 5 days so don't do this if you have some plans the following week. But wow, it's a game changer. I cannot believe how much better my skin looked after the peeling and flakiness stopped. I glowed for the first time in about 20 years and my skin looked younger, fresh, flawless and smooth. Need to do it again as I have left it for 3 months but I'm treating this as a treat now and again as I don't want to over do it. But yes buy it.
