To be Honest, I wasn't very happy with the later model's (V +) sizing and quality control, going so far as returning my next-to-last pair (VI?) for a refund. I saw the VII's and liked the price so I decided to take a chance. So very glad I did. They're perfectly sized, no fraying or stitch "tags", everything well glued without over"squish" between the sole and upper and fully sewn-in lining. I put them on and THEY FIT PERFECTLY. I'm really impressed with the turn-around in quality and value with the Altitude series hikers. In my experience, these boots, as a whole, are truly comfortable from day 1, wear well, grip everywhere and, did I mention, they're comfortable. I highly recommend them, especially for daily wear.

My feet do not get exhausted as quickly as they do with less supportive footwear. Completely waterproof as well. I have nothing to say that is negative about these. Will continue to buy new ones as the old ones wear out.

I've worn hiking boots for work for years. My career path changed for a little while and took me into the office but now I'm back in a position that does have to go to the field quite often. I'm still in management so these boots aren't going to be heavily used but I still need something I can get dirty if I have to. These boots fit perfectly. I wear a 12 or 13 depending on manufacturer. I got a 12 in these and they're great. I have a narrow foot so a normal D width is usually a little wide but these aren't that bad. The footbed is very comfortable with lots of support. It's taken 2 weeks to get them broken in and my feet did hurt during that period. However now that they are broken in, they're very comfortable.
