The straps that go around the waist are wide, actually a bit too wide for my taste, but I guess it gives good support. It also comes with an expander if you happen to be a little full around the middle. It has nice vibrating massage settings and a heat option. My sister said it immediately felt better, She just used it intermittentlyover the course of a couple days.
