Review: Great Product. - Two-year update. Deleted everything thing I said in the begging. I have had these for two years. We do a burlesque dinner theater and we also do outside gigs for corporate parties and i was looking to build a not very heavy, inexpensive light show with the most bang for a buck. Movers are always my favorite. but they are heavy and ones that will respond to dmx are expensive. Also if you have heavy lights you need heavy truss, now a bigger van, and not working is no fun. So I got 4 of these. The good. They are very bright. i know that is relative so let me say, i have chauvet sr 14s. Got 10 of them and some bright pars with 2oo plus wats of leds. I have to turn them down in the light show to match. They are cheap bang for the buck. They are metal and kind of sturdy. For backlights, they are very effective, however, its best to not shine them at the audience as they are bright. And its odd, the light is focused so you cant tell they are bright but they will hurt your eyes. This is a good thing. Just dont look at them. I tried them for front lights like as a wash with mixed results. I don't like front lights as led lights as they make people look weird, or ugly, or bring our makeup in odd ways. But I wanted something light so I tried it. But that is ok as there are a ton of uses here. I ended up getting a total of, 14 of them. In the roadshow i use 3 on the top bar, 3 on the back floor shooting up, 3 in the front floor shooting up for effect, and 4 for the club from the top back. Makes for great chase lights like a cabaret theater I was going for. But can wash out the other lights if you don't turn them down. We program all lights with dmx, make videos, and time dmx scenes to the song. For DJ, this is the best bang. Im kind of jealous cause when you go in sound mode, there is one of the best sound programs i have seen. When you are in DMX mode, it will not allow you to access that function. However again as a dj, they are very light and you can put them all sorts of places. The only bad I have is this. I run a computer with dmx. If the computer needs to restart it drops dmx signal. If the lights are on, in dmx mode, and it drops the dmx signal, the will snap to sound mode, and the only way to get them back to dmx, is to have the sending dmx on, and restart them. You would be surprised how often this happens and do not remember. Out of many many lights, they are the only onces i have ever owned, and i started with super cheap lights, that have done this. So say you walk in your set up. Start turning them on, and you do it before the light bored, or launching the computer, or the light program, they will blink in sound mode, and you will have to go back and restart them. So i set up a wireless remote on the plug, so when it happens i can turn if off and on. But sometimes, one of them will lose contact, this is out of 14 of them. So, I am ok at 100 a pop.
Review: Great color capability and luminosity - Purchased these to supplement some Chauvet SlimPar Q6 lights. The DMX pattern is quite different with the added white channel for the OPPSK lights. Dimmer is on the high channel side with the SlimPar Q6, on the low channel side with these lights (9 channel mode). The luminosity of the OPPSK seems brighter when full on than the SlimPar's when they are full on. The extra white channel on the OPPSK may account for this. I measured the fan noise with the Android Smart Tools Sound Meter. With the light off the room was about 20 db, with the light on the fan was about 30 db a foot away (back & front). So if things are really quiet you will hear the fans, but in a normal stage environment they should not be a problem. The DMX controls worked just like the manual specified, as did the remote control, but with the remote you can only select 7 colors. The blinking DMX address is annoying, but it can be remedied by a little velcro patch over the display or some black tape. The mounting hardware is good, but the input power connector does seem to not fit as solid as other lights I own. Once the light went out while walking around the room. After pushing the connector in more solidly, I didn't notice this happening again. I ran it for several hours with no noticeable heat buildup. If the fan could be about 6db quieter, this would be an incredible light for theatres needing flexible wash lighting. Based on the price, however, they are a great value for their light output, quality and flexibility.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Light But Missing One Thing
*by J***Z on November 19, 2023*

I bought some of these for our DJ rigs and am also planning to buy more to use for up lighting. These are a great value for a good, bright RGBAW light. The fact that they have outlets on the back is a huge plus in my opinion as being able to power them light to light is needed in some applications. The only thing you should be aware of is that (at least from my experience) you can only dim them with a DMX controller. If you are using the lights as "stand alone", say for room décor up lighting, the remote control does not allow you to dim them when they are in a static color. The only option you have is full brightness. Otherwise I have nothing but good to say about the ones I have purchased and plan to buy more of them.
