I carry it in my back left pocket and can't even tell it's there. The taco style sheath means it has a small footprint. The knife fits well in my large sized hands especially after I added a lanyard. I think this blade is perfect for food prep in the back country camping out of a backpack. The deckhand fits the bill. It was quite sharp right out of the package. It's substantial enough to lend itself to control. The micarta handle is big enough for a four-finger grip in my hands. The sheath is snug on the knife with no wiggle. There's a useful amount of tension when pulling out the knife, but not too much. The sheath is sturdy and the clip is of good simple quality.
