The reality was more like loose-fitting silken basketball shorts. Even after ordering a size smaller the shorts bellowed to my knees. I have no idea how they'd have stood up to swimming, and frankly didn't care to try. I suspect that after climbing out of the water they'd have clung to my abdomen and revealed way, way too much of my lower anatomy.
