It is smaller than I expected. This backpack supposed to be 8L and its smaller than 6L bag we have. It measures 8.5"×2"x12" if it helps anyone, I measured the back. There is no reason for me to give less than 5 starts just because it's smaller than I expected because it's made very well, it is super cute (we got green one for a 2 year boy), and it fits perfectly on my 3 ft tall 2 year old. It fits so well, he doesn't want to take it off. It’s just the right size for a 3 year old to carry a little lunch, change of clothes, extra shoes and water bottle. Love that the back is reinforced to help keep the proper position on little backs and shoulders. The clips are easy enough for little fingers to maneuver.
