Review: Simple sharp knives that cut where others just tear - I purchased these knives and some (seemingly similar) serrated knives to replace some old ones. These ones are notably better (at cutting) than the other knives. They actually cut meat, veggies, etc. where the other knives tend to tear as much as cut. The various comments about cutting ones self with these knives are valid. Treat them more like a scalpel, especially when new. They will cut you. This should be regarded as a feature, not a problem. The handles could use a styling upgrade, but they are functional and look like they'll last. If you want simple sharp serrated knives that cut, I recommend these.

**Q: Do they rust?**
A: Yes!  They cut great, but rust horribly. Have had them for probably 20 years, but am constantly removing rust spots from the blades.

**Q: What's the handle mase of? Plastic, wood, silicone, etc?**
A: The handle material is plastic

**Q: Do these ever need to be sharpened?**
A: I bought about 10 of them 7 years ago, and have yet to sharpen them. We use them daily. That said they could do with a sharpening, but at this price... Heck, even if they were more expensive, they're holding up phenomenally.
Oh, and that's with them being washed in the dishwasher sometimes.

**Q: How do you store these knifes? I'd think they would get dull in a drawer with the blades exposed.**
A: I store mine in the cutlery drawer. They are still as sharp as the day i bought them
