When I compare the hardware to the stand leg hardware, it’s slightly thicker. There’s a quality control issue that needs to be addressed with this manufacturer/seller. Update: The seller refunded the item and sent hardware that actually fits in the slots/rails of the shelf, which was appreciated. However, the laptop tray/stand is almost useless due to the angle it holds the laptop at. My M3 Macbook doesn't open wide enough for the screen to point at me — it points downward. Your laptop would have to open up beyond 130° for this to work, which seems wild. I also noticed the pictures show a macbook as an example, and it's simply not true to life. The stand also is different than what I received; it has curled ends to support the laptop.
