We've been trying to buy some locally in our grocery stores with no success for more than a year. I was surprised to find it again finally on desertcart and clicked the buy now right away. This is my first time buying Viva Doria Hickory Smoked Sea Salt. It's a different brand and a bit more expensive than our previous bottle but smells and tastes the same. The salt is fine grain and much more convenient to use than liquid hickory smoke. In my opinion the flavour is much better too. We only use this Hickory Salt for a couple recipes and thankfully don't use too much. If you need Hickory Salt, I would recommend this one. It tastes great and is one of the least expensive (cost per gram) I was able to find on desertcart. I would buy this again.

All I can say is what a great product. The flavor balance between the salt and the hickory smoke is spot on in this. It smells delicious and tastes delicious. I use it in a basic breading for chicken liver, fried chicken, pork chops and cube steak that is simply flour, a bit of baking powder, garlic powder, this hickory smoked salt and pepper. It's the same breading that Mom uses and this salt is perfect in it. I seriously recommend this if you are looking for a replacement for the Kroger family store hickory smoked salt that they used to sell years ago because it's dead on in flavor and pretty darn close in appearance!

A: Uhhhh....hickory smoked sea salt.

**Q: where/what is the kosher symbol ?**
A: I don’t have the bottle but I believe it was in the back of the jar —

**Q: Does this product contains MSG?**
A: There is no mention of anything on the label other that hickory smoked salt, so I would think not.

**Q: Is this salt really ground fine?**
A: It's not as fine as some I have used but I consider it fine. It is about the same as Morton salt. I use both coarse and fine for cooking and always pick it for finishing over my coarse blends.
