They are true to size. No zipper, easy to pull on. The material is faux leather but nice in the appearance. I bought this color to match a dress I'm wearing to a western themed wedding. The color was exactly as pictured. They are hard to get on because of my high instep but once on they are very comfortable. Some of the pictures online show a zipper. These did not have a zipper. I'm sure it would have been helpful. I'm hopeful they will be comfortable to swear all day. I have a little bit of a wide foot. I wear size 9 in most of my shoes. My other pair of cowboy boots are Laredos and are an 8.5.
