Therefore, your Plax will expire around 2024. This is what I found out on a Google search. **Q: Did they discontinue Plax ? The price is crazy now .** A: The crazy price is only on Amazon. They did not discontinue it, but I don't buy it when price gougers are holding it hostage. Amazon needs to stop these exorbitant prices. **Q: Does this remove existing plaque?** A: It softens recently developed plaque for easier removal when brushing. This is why you use it before brushing your teeth. It doesn’t help soften old plaque that has hardened into tartar **Q: Does plax hurt or loosen dental crowns?** A: I’ve used Plax for many years. It does not hurt and never loosened any of my crowns.
