Not just for placing them in my pockets to keep my hands warm. This product is versatile! The major thing that I use them for is to keep my neonatal puppies warm when I need to transport them. Throw a small blanket over the hothands then the puppies and finally another blanket on top of the puppies. My husband uses them during hunting season and raves about how warm they keep his hands and that they last the full day for him. Once you are done using them, and if there is still heat left in them place them in a sandwich bag/quart bag sealing it while getting the air out you can extend the life of them and use them at a later date.
