Product Description Step 1: Make sure your countertop has an existing hole with a diameter between 0.5 to 2.0 inches. Slide the front plate onto the faucet stem, followed by the rubber washer. Insert the stem into the hole on the countertop. Step 2: Under the sink, slide on the back rubber washer and tight the wing nut. If needed, you may apply a few rounds of plumbers tape to the threads to get a better grip. Step 3: Slide the push-in fitting up the push-in adapter on the base stem of the faucet and lock it in place by sliding the blue clip under the collet. Step 4: Insert your water tubing (not included) about 1/2 inch into the push fitting, and secure it with the blue clip. Review: iSpring GA1-BN - After spending a considerable time looking at drinking water taps, I decided to go for the iSpring GA1-BN on the basis that it looked to be a high quality product with mostly good reviews on desertcart. I have to admit that the tap that arrived was slightly disappointing and did not feel particularly solid. When I fitted the tap, I found that the main body of the tap had a tendency to rotate on the flat front plate that covered the hole in the sink. After a couple of attempts to tighten the tap to present rotation, I ended up removing it to diagnose the issue only to find that the o-ring in the base of the main body of the tap was recessed below the metal – in other words the o-ring was pointless. I then wasted a couple of hours trying to pack out behind the o-ring to see if I could fit this problem and while this helped, I was not especially pleased with the result. You may be asking why I have given this product a 5* rating given what I have said…. When I when to register the warranty, I decided to mention the o-ring problem to the company. They responded within 24 hours and arranged to send a replacement tap direct from the US. The customer service that I received from Sean at iSpring was amazing and the replacement tap arrived within a few days. The build quality of the replacement tap is so much better than the original. The two taps are similar in general style, but close inspection soon shows that the two products were very different. One easy way to see if you have the new version is that the new version DOES NOT have an o-ring. You can also tell as the replacement tap body weights a hefty 570g compared to the original that was just 350g. Looking at the images on the desertcart website, it is clear that the replacement tap is the one portrayed in the images. Hence, I can only assume that the original one sent to me was an older and much cheaper model that has now been surpassed by the newer and far superior one. I can highly recommend the tap that I now have fitted, the build quality feels solid, the tap looks lovely, the flow rate is excellent (despite only being feed by ¼” diameter tube) and the customer service from iSpring has been amazing.
Review: Good quality - Perfect. I wanted a good quality replacement for the cheap tap it was replacing and wasn't disappointed. The metal is clearly much better quality and hopefully will last for years. I've no issue paying more for quality.

**Q: is the brushed nickel very similar to stainless steel finish?**
A: I would say they are very similar. If they are side by side you may notice the brushed nickel has a amber or brownish hue. We have brushed nickel fixtures in our kitchen with stainless steel appliances and hardly notice the slight difference.

**Q: What is the thread type? It is smaller then 1/4". Perhaps, some metric one?**

After spending a considerable time looking at drinking water taps, I decided to go for the iSpring GA1-BN on the basis that it looked to be a high quality product with mostly good reviews on Amazon. The tap is easy to install There is no dripping, but it's a little bit wobbly. The faucet outlet is relative too close to the bench top and thus limits the hight of water containers.
