Isn't fiber one of the selling points of Tiger Nuts?** A: Yes you do, but even peeled they have an enormous amount of fiber. They are offered peeled because some people find them too hard to chew easily. **Q: where is the origin of your product? is it american nuts?** A: All of our products come from our Spanish growers. Some of the Tiger Nuts come from Africa. Hope this helps! **Q: I'm interested in this but how do you usually eat them?** A: Just as they come, no prep required. If you've never had a tiger nut, they are not nuts but small tubers. They are a bit hard (not crunchy, just solid and dense) and very fibrous. When you chew them they get gritty but are a little sweet. I eat them everyday, i really enjoy the consistency. You can chew them for quite some time. I keep them in my car and enjoy them on long drives. Always get the peeled variety, the peel is not pleasant. **Q: Is this easy to grind at home to make into flour?** A: I used the remaining pulp after making tiger nut milk to make tigernut meal. First I dehydrated the leftover pulp, then ground it in my ninja. VERY EASY and kept me from wasting the pulp. If you have a flour mill Iā€™d say you could get a finer flour than I got. They are mildly sweet *by M***G on September 18, 2016* I read a lot of the reviews before trying these, I honestly didn't know what to expect. I love these. They are mildly sweet, have a pleasant texture and are a satisfying snack. I have read that some taste like coconut and I get that, the texture reminds me a lot of dried coconut chunks. The coconut flavor is faint, don't let it scare you off from trying these.I generally eat a serving while working, along with a cup of hot tea or coffee and they stick around for awhile and keep me from feeling overly full nor starving. I think these are especially good if you are a grazer as I am. They take awhile to chew and they help you be mindful while you are eating. I only eat one at a time, I feel like if you have a mouth full, they are too dry to try to swallow. I do need a drink with them. Every now and again you will get one that looks fine but tastes like a bit like dirt, it's not a deal breaker, it's just good to know that sometimes you get a wonky tasting one. ### ā­ā­ā­ā­ā­ These things are delicious *by S***S on October 22, 2024* I only recently discovered that these existed and was curious to try them out.
