Review: Solid phone holder - Best cellphone holder for larger phones. After using several other brands, I stumbled across this one. Solid hold and easy to install. The adhesive is dependable lasting a LONG time (wife has one and its 2 years old and still going strong) Metallica attachment on the back of the phone is light weight as well as sleek. The phone holder itself is nice to have without looking cumbersome when not in use.

I move cars for a living and I would see these balls attached to the dash and wonder what they were. So I did a bit of research and found out what they were. I then bought a new Semi, and it also had one on the dash. I tried to take it off the dash and couldn't get it to budge, so I took apart the dash to see if it was screwed into the dash and it wasn't. I was like hrmm, what sorta magic is this. Anyway all the pieces were there except the Steelie plate, so for $5 I picked one up to test on my Google Pixel 3XL. If you know Google devices, the fingerprint reader is on the back. So you can't place the plate directly in the center, plus I have an otter box defender case which is a hard case with a rubber surround so I was a bit worried about the plate being able to hold up well. If you read and follow the directions, I don't see how anyone could ever claim there is a problem with either placing it on the dash of their car, or the plate on their phone. As I said before, they use magic to make it work. I have a very strong feeling, those that did not get theirs to properly stick to their dash or phone, also don't know how to follow directions. It clearly states you must clean the surface with the alcohol wipes they provide, and once you place it, it must be kept at a certain temperature range for 24 hours for proper adhesion. It sticks just fine to my rubber other box case, and I bought this one to place in my wife's 2018 Dodge Durango GT which has a soft dash, and it works perfectly fine. Follow the directions, and it too can work it's magic for you. Even though my plate is attached to the lower half of the back of my phone, it stays on the orbitor just fine in my Semi truck and wife's Durango. I highly recommend buying this for your car. I will be installing one in every vehicle we have in our home so no matter whps driving, they always have a safe place to put their phones. Less distraction for drivers.

**Q: Magnets. How do they work?**
A: If you are asking how magnetism works, no one *really* knows. There are some theories which are well-supported by evidence, but they don't fully explain the phenomena. It's in the same category as gravity in that sense. The answer from April 2017 by Michael is entirely wrong; no scientist anywhere thinks that magnets themselves work based on anything to do with the north and south poles, as magnets work in the vacuum of space, far from those poles. I suppose there *could* be a connection with the N&S poles in terms of what causes certain materials on Earth to BE magnetic, but they operate independently of the N&S poles, regardless of their magnetic property's origin.

**Q: does the strong magnetic field generated by the magnet interfere with the iphone internal compass? can the steelie permanently damage the iphone?**
A: They claim it will not damage the iPhone, I haven't used it long term though.  As far as the compass, my compass never worked inside the vehicle BEFORE I bought the Steelie.  Sometimes my iPhone 7 compass would be a full 45° to 90° off inside the truck.

**Q: Cant't find crucial info - what are the measurements of the disc that attaches to your phone?  Diameter and thickness would really be helpful**

**Q: Has anyone used this on a motorcycle, cell phone mounts I have seen on motorcycles are big and not very attractive**
A: I have not used it on a motorcycle but I have put it on the side of my car while loading my bike on the roof rack & kinda forgot it. when I got home my phone was right where I left it on the outside of my car (despite freeway speeds of up to 80mph for just more than an hour). I'm pretty happy with this. (I have the iphone5)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good, but...

Magnetic part worked great. Easy connect and release. I’m highly unimpressed by adhesive of the part that sticks to the vehicle. I peeled off the top piece which is supposed to preserve the adhesive before use and stuck it to my vehicle. At first I thought it was all good but then it fell off like 5 seconds later. I then felt that adhesive and it wasn’t sticky at all. Going to have to go to the store to get some double sided tape. It isn’t a huge deal just a pain in the butt. Overall the product seems super sturdy and durable. I’d still recommend.
