Kind of like a very natural not sweet smell, but remnant of honey. It does very well with my curly hair (curly- wavy not tight curls). My only concern is that to use as a detangling agent, one must use a lot of this conditioner and it is very thick- I used 1/4 the bottle and filled it with water, mixed it and have been using that and it is STILL pretty thick compared to most conditioners- but that’s cool because I can save money that way!
