When I have the on button on it does light up and looks very nice. But I don’t want to be constantly manually turning this on and off when I need it. The light that it projects is very soft and can help you if it is very dark around. It is not light to work off of, but just to make sure you don’t stumble in the dark. This comes with a sticker to attach to the back in order to attach it to any surface. But the back is also magnetic so you can just attach it to your fridge, which is what I have been doing.
