With this brand I could not do more than 1/4 tablet. Even that usually knocked me out cold with 30 minutes. I’ve tried other brands that say 5 or 10 mg elemental Li and they didn’t have that effect on me. I feel like this brand had a lot more of it in each tablet than other brands, which were usually capsules. **Q: what is it use for.** A: I use it for bipolar 2 with mood swings due to hormonal imbalances. Also: "If you are pregnant or a nursing mother, consult your health care professional before using this or any dietary supplement." **Q: Can these tablets be cut in half easily?** A: Yes, these can be cut in half easily. Specifically, they're soft enough to snap in half or quarters with your fingers. There was a question of whether breaking them in half would affect absorption rates. I don't believe it will because these tablets immediately dissolve in water, which means they'll immediately dissolve in your stomach.
