From the manufacturer Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM a Lens The First and Fastest of its Kind Truly a revolutionary product, the Sigma 18-35mm 1.8 DC HSM is the first wide-angle to standard zoom lens to achieve a large aperture of 1.8. Designed specifically for APS-C sized sensors, the Sigma 18-35mm 1.8 translates to 27mm-52.5mm on 35mm camera. Tapping into Sigma’s long history of lens innovations, the 18-35mm 1.8 DC HSM incorporates a wide glass molded aspherical lens with Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass to compensate for aberrations and curvature at the widest angle. Internal focusing and zooming allows for more usability and functionality. The 18-35mm is ideal for landscapes, portraits, still life, snap shots, casual, and close-ups and the Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) ensures smooth, fast and accurate autofocusing. The use of Thermally Composite Material (TSC) reduces size and weight but increases the lens durability. Its new Global Vision design works with its compatibility with the Sigma USB dock for further customization. A 9 blade rounded diaphragm also creates beautiful background blur. It has constant F/1.8 Aperture which is very useful in low light filming. I am really impressed with this lens and the seller is also very good. If you consider buying this lens, buy from SmaartDeals seller. Delivery is pretty fast and the packaging is very tight so that lens keeps safe during Transaction. Here are the Pros & Cons of the lens: A: Pros: 1) Build quality is great. The size of this lens turns your cropped frame into a full frame which gives you more creative freedom to work with the composition. -One of the features of this lens that I love even more is that it is a constant aperture lens, meaning that no matter how much you zoom the lens, the aperture will remain the same. This is something that is new to me and I'm so glad to finally have one of these. This lens also comes with a lens hood which is very nice. CONS: - It is quite heavy, sitting at 810 grams, meaning this will take you some time getting used to if you’ve never owned or used a heavy lens. May even get a work out. Because it's heavier, you will have to be careful (as you should with all lenses) when using the lens. This lens is definitely a great addition to my BMPCC 6K for its wide angle and shallow DOF especially when shooting in the 2.8K mode. Highly recommend!

Awesome lens! This lens is just phenomenon. This is only lens which I personally consider as a 3 in 1 Prime lens. It has constant F/1.8 Aperture which is very useful in low light filming. I am really impressed with this lens and the seller is also very good. If you consider buying this lens, buy from SmaartDeals seller. Delivery is pretty fast and the packaging is very tight so that lens keeps safe during Transaction. Here are the Pros & Cons of the lens: A: Pros: 1) Build quality is great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fast lens cinematic quality

If you want to get the full sensor quality using your crop sensor, this lense Is the way to go. Pros 1. Extremely sharp lens. Sharp all the way from its widest aperture. This lense fares better than it's way expensive cousins. 2. Fast lens. Benefits of wide aperture. 3. Wide aperture for low light shooting. Allows low ISO shooting 4. No noticeable distortions 5. No noticeable vignetting 6. No noticeable chromatic aberrations Cons None really exist. For completeness, including some below: 1. No image stabilization (high shutter speed makes stabilization redundant to a certain degree) 2. Heavy (is an excellent alternative to carrying 3 prime lenses. Hence weight ceases to be that big am issue) 3. You may need to carry filters to capture motion blur in high light conditions 4. Although sturdy and heavy, it is a delicate lens. Can't bump it. In today's scenario where the future looks mirrorless (but the mirrorless cameras are not quite there yet), this lens can add a new lease of life to your crop sensor.
