The paint dries quickly as you are applying it, so keeping the face somewhat damp helps to stop the drying process as you're working. Once it's dry though, it stays put, even in humidity. This kit worked amazingly well for our carnival. The colors were bright and there was a great variety, and there was plenty of paint in the pots. The how-to guide was really easy to follow. The stencils and brushes both worked well.
