My Midwife has the Littmann Classic II and loved it, when it was new, and I have had the privilege of using it and hearing through it. This Cardiology IV blows it out of the water. The sound and clarity is astounding, I can hear everything. I'm really enjoying learning the sounds of the internal body, as are my children. I'm not a professional, and I haven't tried a bunch of different stethoscopes, but I would totally recommend that anyone at least try this. My only con is the tightness of the ear pieces. I know the insteuctions say to pull them open wide to loosen thrm, but this really hasn't worked, as they are still quite tight. I see other brands of stethoscopes that have a better adjustable piece forwhere the tubing ataches to the ear pieces (not sure what those metal pieces are called).
