It doesn't have a strainer exactly, but the design is in such a way that it filters the white and green teas that I've used and prevents me from ingesting leaves. Bigger than a mug but smaller than my gigantic Owala or Stanley quencher. I put it in my pocket and when I’m hiking and I can drink hot matcha or oolong even when I get caught in a snowstorm. The tea literally stayed the same temperature til I got home - from 12p to 4:30p. It has never leaked and it doesn’t have a stupid straw that gets lost or needs to be cleaned with a brush. The Owala leaked all over my car and held enough tea for a family of 6. The Quencher was so ridiculously large plus it leaked that I gave it away almost immediately. I stupidly packed my previous cup into my storage space so I had to replace it with this one. Also the design is clean, chic, simple. I like the white with the matte finish.
