However, I can't see any metal parts so my best guess is you should be able to go through security without removing it. I checked the buckle with a strong magnet and it did not attach to the buckle or the belt fabric. **Q: What is the width of the belt?** A: Belt is 1-1/4" wide. Buckle is 1-3/4" wide. I have 3 of these belts and really think they're awesome. **Q: The buckle came off the belt and I can’t figure out how to fix it can anyone explain how?** A: I'm lefthanded but here goes. Look at the buckle from the side. There is a large square on the front side, and a smaller square on the back side. Hold the large square facing away from your body and the small square facing your body. Gently pivot (push) the small square (outside edge) away from body, holding the buckle securely. Slip the belt into opening and gently close and this locks the belt in the buckle. I hope this makes sense and helps you. Simply cutoff the length of belt you don’t need and then melt the cut edge with a lighter or match. It seems to be well made. The buckle stays firmly in place. The buckle doesn’t slip; anyway not yet. The buckle lays flat with no big bulge appearing under a shirt.
