Lifesaver
Like a dolt, I stripped the bolt. The oil drain plug, I mean. Tried all the other options first, the larger self-threading bolt, cutting new threads, nothing worked. So that left me with replacing the entire pan. After many phone calls and many weekend trips to auto parts stores, I found a new pan and a gasket. (The one I bought from Amazon is a spare to have on hand next time I mess something up.)Toyota's official procedure wants you to use a high-temp RTV sealant between the pan flange and the stiffening crankcase. But I'm terrible with that stuff, and frankly, hate using it.So I decided to give a gasket a try, instead. The hardest part of the job was breaking the seal of the RTV the manufacturer had put in, then scraping all the old RTV off.Once the mating surfaces were clean, the gasket and new pan took ten minutes to install. Once it was in, I ran the engine for a bit. No leaks. I took the car for a very short drive. No leaks. I took the car for a longer drive. No leaks. Now I've been driving the car to work (120 mile round trip) for a week. No leaks.I'll update this review if necessary, but so far this is an amazing product that removes a ton of hassle.

Works great
I had never replaced an oil pan before, and really hated the idea of trying to smear silicone all around my engine. I looked into using a fel-pro gasket and decided that they were cheap enough that if it didn't work out, I could go down the RTV silicone route. I've now put 6000 miles on this gasket and it hasn't leaked a single drop. I'm impressed! Way easier than silicone and apparently just as good. If I ever need to replace my oil pan again it'll be easy peasy to swap out the gasket as well.

Better than using RTV Sealant
Used this to fix a Prius oil pan that is leaking. The factory uses RTV sealant. It is difficult to use RTV on an oil pan. The oil turn to drip from the top to the edge of the oil pan surface. But the RTV sealant need to be cured after 24 hours before getting in touch with oil. Installed this gasket with a new oil pan. No leaking. This seems to be more reliable than RTV. I expect the gasket will last longer than RTV. If it does leak someday, it will be easier to replace it than removing the RTV sealant. I guess most cars do not use the Fel-Pro gasket from the factory due to the cost.

Perfect fit
Fit was perfect for oilpan on a 2010 Toyota Corolla. Anyone who has ever worked with gaskets and cars will agree there are many poor fitting gaskets on the market. Fel Pro got this one true to spec.

I tried using his oil pan on the car with silicone it leaked
You have to use the stuff called great stop or get the stuff that Toyota uses and it doesn’t use a gasket once I put great stuff on it. It’s healed up perfectly fine Work I wouldn’t waste my time with you Gasket
