The first time I travel with this thing I make it through the first airport, even though the TSa agent was not too happy. On the second airport they made me take it off! I told them it was plastic, they said don't don't care, the machine is not looking for metal. So, if you go through the full body scanners, chances are this will have to come off. And that was my main reason to buy this... Other than that, it is a tough belt, stiff nylon webbing with a hard plastic buckle, good for outdoor activities, etc.

I wear this belt for everything except coat and tie events. It looks great, easily adjusts with changes in weight, buckle stays closed, and is very durable. Good with shorts and trousers, and is not damaged when it gets wet.

Certainly is as long as indicated. Color appeared pure black in photo, but it has a large dark blue center band. Pretty stiff initially but broke in easily. I wear it with jeans and cargo / tactical style pants. Recommend belt, but just know the color is not as presented.
