Review: Great product for a reasonable price - The mailbox and post are both sturdy and look aesthetically pleasing. The unit replaced our hard plastic mailbox which did not hold up well over time. The most difficult part of the installation is the 4” x 4” wooden post that you need to erect before slipping the mailbox/post over the wooden post. The standard mailbox is actually much larger than your typical mailbox, so, for most people, there is no need to upgrade the size (a standard magazine can lay flat in the mailbox). There is a minimal amount of drilling required. I do suggest that: 1) the product description included the height of the post; and 2) the company would allow us to order the custom plaques online. I had to call customer service for an issue (my issue—not the manufacturer’s), and they picked up right away and responded to a special request I made. The custom address plaques arrived quickly and look great. The surface of the post died scratch easily, so be careful when handling and installing. We purchased the optional base for the post, which I recommend. It protects the underlying wood post from the elements and looks great.

The mailbox and post are both sturdy and look aesthetically pleasing. The unit replaced our hard plastic mailbox which did not hold up well over time. This is the sturdiest mailbox. I got tired of replacing mailboxes every few years so decided to pay more for a lasting mailbox. Reading the reviews this seemed like a good product. It certainly didn’t disappoint. Beautiful and sturdy. Seems all my neighbors feel the same as I now see this mailbox at multiple houses near me.
