Third is make things with lots of leverage like the motor arms and landing gear just strong enough for flight and the weight of the drone but will break themselves rather than destroy the core frame and hardware on a hard crash. Carbon fiber tubing and landing gear is cheap to replace relative to having to replace and rebuild the whole Multicopter because the core frame and hardware twisted and broke due to a motor arm breaking off at the base. Fourth is build it so your electronics are protected and that things like camera gambles will break away where it attaches to the main frame. Lastly, know that things will break when you crash hard and you’re going to have to repair them. It’s just physics.
