    Great alternative sweetener!

I bought this because I'm on a low carb diet and I wanted a sweetner for certain recipes that isn't man made. This tastes nice. I compare it to brown sugar. It does have 4 carbs per serving though so I don't use it a lot. I mainly use it in things that the artificial sweetener taste can ruin like mock danishes. I had no idea there was a such thing as coconut sugar! I tried the Madhava Organic Blonde Coconut Sugar with no expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I put it in warm tea, mock danish, a low carb brownie and it was good in all those. I haven't tried to bake with it yet but I believe it would substitute well. The bag should last me a long while. I highly recommend this to any low-carber who wants a sugar alternative if you are tired of the usuals.

I ordered this as an alternative to refined sugar. I tried some other brand historically and did not like it but I thought I would try it again, except in a brand name that I trusted. I can see replacing refined sugar in a lot of things now with this brand of coconut sugar.

I LOVE this coconut sugar!! It almost tastes like brown sugar but it's better. It's sweet but you can taste/feel the minerals and vitamins and life of the sugar. And I love that. It goes really well with cinnamon. I use it in baking because it is lower on the glycemic index than sugar. Maple syrup is better but I'm weening my family off sugar slowly.
