It was super simple to install, the directions were well written. I love that it counts by direction, I guess I didn't expect that. But it shows how many came in and left. Easily spanned a 10 foot entrance. I have needed one of these for a long time and wasn't sure what to get. This was a great choice! Review: Broke after one year. Replacement unit received. - Original Review: 2 Stars As a nonprofit art center, we were excited to find a visitor counter solution for our gallery space that was affordable. It worked well at while it was functioning. It stopped working properly after only about a year. It was out of warranty and non-returnable/replaceable by then of course. REVIEW UPDATED 4/12/22: 4 stars. Replacement working well so far. The company contacted us and kindly offered a replacement unit even though it was out of warranty. We have just installed the replacement. So far so good. We will see if this one lasts longer this time. ## Features - SET UP IN MINUTES, NO WIRING: Mount the transmitter and receiver on each side of your entrance with the included hardware. Fully wireless, no electrician needed. Each unit runs on 2 AA batteries (not included), typically lasting 8 to 12 months depending on traffic, temperature and battery brand. - COUNTS IN AND OUT SEPARATELY: The bidirectional counter shows entries and exits separately on the display, so you see at a glance how many customers came in and how many left. Reset to zero anytime with the included magnet. - INFRARED BEAM FOR ENTRANCES UP TO 26 FT: An invisible infrared beam runs between the two units and the count goes up automatically when someone walks through. Works across doorways and passages up to 26 ft (8 m). Recommended mounting height is about 4 ft (1.25 m). - KNOW YOUR FOOT TRAFFIC: Ideal for retail stores, shops, offices, schools, libraries, gyms, churches, museums, events and shopping malls. Use your visitor numbers to plan staff and opening hours. - WHAT’S INCLUDED AND 2-YEAR WARRANTY: Transmitter, receiver with display, mounting hardware, reset magnet and user manual. Backed by a 2-year warranty. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Customer Reviews | 3.8 out of 5 stars 109 Reviews | ## Images ![People Counter with Display, Wireless Door Counter for Retail Stores, Infrared Foot Traffic Sensor, Bidirectional Visitor and Customer Counting, Battery Operated, Entrances up to 26 ft - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61CiIzOlhRL.jpg) ![People Counter with Display, Wireless Door Counter for Retail Stores, Infrared Foot Traffic Sensor, Bidirectional Visitor and Customer Counting, Battery Operated, Entrances up to 26 ft - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61a-fdYpuqL.jpg) ![People Counter with Display, Wireless Door Counter for Retail Stores, Infrared Foot Traffic Sensor, Bidirectional Visitor and Customer Counting, Battery Operated, Entrances up to 26 ft - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81kcBLaVzDL.jpg) ![People Counter with Display, Wireless Door Counter for Retail Stores, Infrared Foot Traffic Sensor, Bidirectional Visitor and Customer Counting, Battery Operated, Entrances up to 26 ft - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61WO-8MowJL.jpg) ![People Counter with Display, Wireless Door Counter for Retail Stores, Infrared Foot Traffic Sensor, Bidirectional Visitor and Customer Counting, Battery Operated, Entrances up to 26 ft - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/616S-mwM-XL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can this be used for cars?** A: That is a good question. We have not tested that. It is meant to count people. You can try it and if it is not possible you can always return the product. **Q: Will it count children and adults?** A: It is recommended that you put the counter about 3 1/2 or 4 feet off the floor (I can't remember exactly), so obviously, if you follow that guideline, it will miss small children. But it will count anyone who is tall enough to break the beam across the doorway at whatever height you put it. **Q: How many digits does the counter show?** A: Max. 999999 **Q: Does this have a slot for microSD or any way to communicate to an external device?** A: No, you can only read of the display, it can`t cummunicate to an external device. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy and accurate *by J***Y on May 13, 2025* Had this going about 4 days now and it seems accurate.
