Had previously purchased similar model which certainly did not last 10 years but stayed with this brand since all brands had questionable reliability. This was a mistake! On the 18th of May around midnight it started beeping. After checking throughout house for signs of smoke I decided it was a malfunction and disabled it. Forget the 10 year sealed battery, it did not last 2 months! Similar complaints about the Kidde but I will get one that I can replace batteries and not depend on the “ 10 year sealed” battery.
