Out the gate, the hood doesn’t properly fit onto the housing, so it juts out on one side or the other high. Normally I wouldn’t care about except for the fact that I have an arthritic senior cat who tends to pee on the sides of the litter box: enter pee running down the sides of the box because the hood won’t attach as advertised. Next up is the clean up with this model: while it looks elegant and spiffy, there are noticeable gaps between the hatch cover and the sides of the litter box. When you go to replace the trays loose litter falls everywhere from being kicked into and underneath the hatch cover. Now for the best part: after 4 months the arm has completely stopped working. I’ve done soft and hard resets, removed the arm, unscrewed and attempted to fix the mechanics to no avail. So here I am, 7:45pm with a screaming newborn, a hyperactive toddler, two senior cats who need to use the restroom and a broken, brand new litter box.
