Review: For the price this is 100% perfect - Fantastic knife that is super sharp. The orange handle will help spot it in the grass if you put it down but this being as sharp as it is you wouldn't want to lose it. Comes with a good sheath that seems super durable. For the price im going to be getting another one as I think these are useful to have in your camping gear.
Review: Get it ! - Bought this as a second knife for food preparation only for camping so there is no contamination . This is great quality knife at bargain price . I've attached my DC3 sharpener with a ranger band to the sheath ( good quality sheath too) . Only thing I didn't like it it stains very quick ( with fresh lemon ) but for the price I can live with that . And extremely sharp too. I don't know why would pay extra and get the one with the comfort handles as this one is comfortable enough

**Q: Is the blade stainless steel as listed in the details?  High carbon rusts too easily where I live.**
A: Oh great question - Hultafors says the following ... The blade is made from 2.5 mm carbon steel that has been hardened to 58–60 HRC. So I think you're going to be fine.

**Q: Is the blade wider than the Mora Companion? What is the blade width?**
A: Blade thickness: almost 0.1 in for the hultafors vs 0.08 in for the mora clipper (I don't have the companion but I believe the blade geometry is the same as the clipper(?))Blade width (from edge to spine/back at its widest/base): 0.72 in for the hultafors vs 0.8 in for the mora clipperThe tang in the Hultafors goes to about half into the handle (checked with a magnet).

**Q: Does this knife float?**
A: No it doesn't float and it also rusts like crazy. Not the perfect knife for boating.

**Q: Is the handle hard plastic or grippy rubber?**
A: Hard plastic. More grip can be had by placing a peice of bike inner tube around the handle. The handle is also MUCH smaller than the GK, I would personally reccomend  the gk over the hvk, the heavy duty is much more comfortable to use.

Solidly made with quality steel blade and sturdy plastic handle, which fits comfortably in the hand. Blade very sharp and is capable of maintaining sharpness - good quality carbon steel. Solid plastic sheath which has nice button attachment, knife snaps in safely and feels secure. Has been used for greenwood carpentry, which I reckon it's perfect for. Not the most beautiful hand- made knife, but a solid, honest, quality product at a very good price.
