Soooooo many lessons........... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Synthesis of Yogic Philsophy and Christianity *by J***L on December 29, 2017* I have been a long time Kriyaban but I have never been fond of organizations like Ananda or the SRF. I will even admit that Autobiography of a Yogi never touched me the way it has so many other seekers. I just never got it, I could believe the miracles and I didn't doubt his story to be true. I just don't click with Yogananda. Recently I purchased and read "Living with the Himalayan Masters" by Swami Rama, I found myself resonating with him more even though his stories and Yoganandas are somewhat similar. I mostly just attribute this to the fact that, hey Yogananda is not my guru so if there is no spark it isn't a problem maybe my personality just doesn't line up well with him. However, as a person looking to integrate the Christianity I was born into with the ideals of Kriya Yoga it was suggested to me by my own guru that I read this book. Yogananda may not be my over all guru but as it comes to integrating Christianity with Sanatana Dharma I have yet to find his equal because of this book. At first I was skeptical, I figured since I wasn't too impressed with his autobiography maybe this would be more of the same. But I was thankfully mistaken. The only complaint I have so far is that at times his language is a little too flowery and verbose. He will spent two paragraphs describing something that could be explained in a sentence or two. But that's just my own preference, the content is what matters here and he definitley delivers on that.
