I got the men's size because I know the female kimono's sold online are smaller than the size that is advertised ( and I wanted a looser fit, not something tight around the midsection, and only loose around the arms.) I wanted the complete loose, baggy, ill fitting, look. On the other hand, the kimono is light, airy, and quite thin...I recommend you wash this by hand, versus using a machine. A washer would destroy it. This kimono can only be worn solely in the summer and spring, since it is thin. Even around the home, if you live in colder country/state, then wearing this around the house still wouldn't be warm enough. Overall, I recommend this kimono, and I do plan to buy the other designs soon.
