We test for heavy metals and harmful chemicals regularly. Grown at an altitude of 600 meters in Uji, Japan, we practice organic farming without pesticides and chemicals thanks to fewer crop-damaging insects. **Q: What are the differences between Ceremonial Grade and Latte Grade?** A: Ceremonial Grade: Rich sweet umami, best enjoyed with just hot water. Latte Grade: Pronounced aroma, subtle umami, ideal for pairing with plant-based milk. All our matcha are hand-picked in the first harvest, stone-ground, yielding only 30g per hour. **Q: What is the Okumidori Cultivar?** A: Cultivars are selectively bred plants for desired traits and qualities. We selected the superior OKUMIDORI cultivar for its fragrant sweet umami flavor & aroma. Shade-grown for 4 weeks, OKUMIDORI matcha boasts bold umami with minimal astringency. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Delicious match *by on Reviewed in the United States 9 October 2026* This is such a delicious matcha powder. The color is a beautiful, vibrant green and the texture is a perfectly fine powder. It has an earthy, umami flavor that is absolutely incredible. It mixes well in both hot and cold liquids and does not clump up. It is a good price for the size of the bag, as it lasts quite a long time. It doesn't explicitly state the caffeine content, but I notice after my morning latte that I am perfectly energized and have a steady flow throughout the day, with no afternoon crash like I tend to experience with coffee or espresso. I've made matcha for friends and family and they have all been decently impressed; I've even inspired a few people to purchase this matcha for themselves! I like my matcha lattes sweetened so 1 mix this with milk and add the tiniest bit of agave syrup, and it is the perfect morning pick me up. Definitely try it for yourself! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My favorite matcha powder!! *by on Reviewed in the United States 22 October 2026* The color is stunning! I’ve had their other types of matcha but this one has to be my new favorite. I love the taste, I’ve been trying to find a brand that really sticks out to me and this brand and specifically this type of matcha has won by far! It’s a little more expensive but I think it worth the money! The quality in the powder is a little thicker in my opinion but I feel like that is what really makes the difference in the taste. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Must Buy If You Want High Quality Matcha! *by on Reviewed in the United States 19 October 2026* I hadn't looked for matcha on Amazon in a while because I was nervous about getting good quality matcha but FKRO's matcha is some of the highest quality matcha on the market. I love the design of the packaging and upon opening it has such nice, sweet scent similar to other matcha powders I love. Not to mention it's very VIBRANT green - key indicator of the quality and freshness. I tried it in a matcha latte and it was creamy, a bit umami and did not require any sweetener or flavoring because it has a natural sweetness to it. Will definitely be recommending to all my friends!! ## Frequently Bought Together - FKRO Organic Ceremonial Grade Matcha Green Tea Powder from Uji, Japan. 1st Harvest, Single Origin, Sugar-free.
