Review: Works great to upgrade old multimode lines. - I put in fiber between the house (where the internet comes in) and the workshop (where my home office and servers are) years ago when 1mBit was the best our ISP could offer. The fiber was 62.5/125 OM1 multimode. By the time I realized that for the same price I could have gone with something better the fiber was already buried and I thought I was doomed to 100mBit forever. Recently I started to look again and found 1000Base-LX and and mode conditioning cables. I went down that path, but through a series of wrong parts shipped didn't get a fully set of hardware yet. Meanwhile I found these guys and thought I would give them a try. They worked perfectly on my existing setup. According to iPerf benchmark I get 950mBit over my 1000ft of 62.5/125 to a couple to another 350ft to the shop. I couldn't be happier with this product.
Review: Very simple install and usage. - It just worked for me, as is, out of the box. Powered it up, plugged in ethernet cable to switch, the 2 (Tx/RX) fiber leads, and instantly kicked in at 1gbps speeds. Simple instructions are included if you needed them, as well.
