If you're not used to a large folder, it's easy to close it on your fingers unexpectedly. If you drop it, it will cut whatever it lands on. I did my standard arm hair cutting test and came out with a Voyager XL sized bald patch, lol. I think most people buying this knife already own some Cold Steel knives. If that's the case, you'll love this. It's big, bad, and exactly what you expect from CS. Some people say that the pocket clip is too small for the XL. I admit it does look a little dinky compared to the Espada or SR1 clips. However, it fits nice and snug on my waistbands and I didn't need to stack 3 pennies underneath for a day or so to stretch it out. Works for me. This is not a good beginner knife for a lot of reasons. It's razor sharp, huge, and pretty intimidating (as it should be). Cold Steel is a legendary company. Who else provides such design, quality, and durability at an affordable price? Let me know, haha. Just kidding.
