The magnetic flap lid makes getting into the bag very easy, and creates a good seal to keep in the cold. Although a soft sided cooler, both the outer and inner shell material is very durable, like all Yeti products. I have used the 14L Bag on numerous boating and canoe trips and it’s held up well with some rough handling. Both outer and inner shell material is easy to clean with a damp cloth. The zipper closed outside pocket on the back, and magnetic closed outside pocket on the front are handy for small accessory items like keys, phone, etc. The 6L model has a small loop handle that is convenient for hand carry but not long enough for over the shoulder transport. I also purchased the Yeti shoulder strap to use when needed for the 6L Bag. It attaches easily to the side loop straps and is adjustable to fit a wide variety of situations and would be comfortable for using on hikes or other longer carry outings. The Yeti Medium size Thin Ice freezer pac fits very well in the bottom of the 6L Bag, and will keep things cold for the day.
