We used it to attach 4'x8' window screens to an aluminum frame on the out side of large glass sliding doors. Four 2" strips placed in the corners securely hold the screens in place but still allow us to remove them easily to clean the windows. The adhesive is very strong and the small interlocking mushroom fingers are stronger than the normal 'hook & loop' type Velcro and you only need the one roll of since it mates with itself. You can cut equal lengths from the same roll for both parts you're attaching together.
