You will be fighting your children to use it! - This has got to be the BEST educational item I have bought my son in his entire life and he is 12 in less than 2 weeks! WE have not stopped using it since it arrived and that was nearly 10 hours ago! The microscope itself is a sturdy and child-friendly design, with an excellent range of magnification settings which are all crystal clear. The booklets and accessories included (featuring several prepared slides and a range of different experiments including your own sea monkeys to grow and observe) make this brilliant value for under £30. My son and I were astonished at what was included for the price and have already planned to start growing the sea monkeys tomorrow before school! We would give this TEN stars if we could!

A: Hello, Thank you for your enquiry. The Levenhuk LabZZ M101 microscope has a lower LED illumination so it is only suitable for observation of transparent objects. For observation of solid objects, it is recommended to use a stereo microscope such as our Levenhuk LabZZ M4 Stereo Microscope (ASIN B076HS48VY).

**Q: how is the hatchery accessory used? thank you**
A: Hello, thank you for your inquiry. Dissolve some of the sea salt that comes in the kit in fresh water and add a pinch of Artemia eggs. (You can use the provided hatchery to create your colony of brine shrimp). Leave them for a day. The next day, place a few drops of water on a blank slide and put a cover glass on top.. What's more, if you leave the solution,
you will be able to observe their life cycle and reproduction, having created a colony of Artemia.

Really good microscope. I was skeptical to this item. But price and quality is impressive. It came with lab kit and batteries. You can do lights more brighter and less. Bought for my son's 7 year birthday. We watched samples which are in kit, and throughout magnifying lenses you can see tiny things very clear. I did take sample from mould ( which growed on lemon) and i was impressed how beautiful it is. Without microscope you cannot see all spores. My husband was exploring that mould spores for an hour,moving sample glass different ways to see it from all sides. So it's very interesting for adults and kids. I'm not disappointed. I'm impressed!!! Thanks for this microscope.
