This product does create an appearence of significantly thicker hair, and is not too messy/inconvenient to use. I'm keeping my hair very very short at the moment, because longer patchy hair looks more unkempt and unhealthy - and because short hair makes it easier for the nurses to apply the immunotherapy treatment I am having. By using the fibres I have managed to achieve the appearance of having more-or-less a full coverage of thinnish hair, and I think I might pluck up courage to be wigless in public in some settings, eg while exercising at the gym (wigs are HOT during exercise). Several years ago, before I went grey, I used hair thickening fibres in a very dark colour and found it just too messy to be worthwhile. For example, I couldn't wash my hair in the bath without sitting in a nasty soup afterwards. The grey fibres are much less of a nuisance.
