Review: Nooo More Wired Inflators!!! — Small, Cordless, and Surprisingly Useful - I didn’t realize how much I hated dealing with my old corded tire inflator until this little thing showed up. With my old setup, I had to plug the compressor into the car’s 12V outlet—the modern version of the old cigarette-lighter socket—and then deal with the cord. It had to be long enough to reach the tire, and depending on where the compressor and outlet were positioned, I was either stretching it around the vehicle or running it through an open window or carefully around a door. Moving from one tire to another could feel like playing jump rope with my car: throw the cord around to one side, inflate a front tire, stretch it to the back tire, throw it back over to the other side, repeat. It was a whole double-dutch production just to put air in one tire, never mind several. This cordless OlarHike has eliminated all of that nonsense. I can grab it, walk over to whichever tire or inflatable needs air, set the pressure, and get to work without being tethered to the car. And I’ve used it for far more than car tires. I’ve topped off my car tires, filled the tires on my bikes and elliptical/trike, inflated two different-size herding balls for the dogs, and inflated multiple yard decorations. I’ve even used it to help someone with a flat tire on the roadside. At this point, I’ve put enough things through this little compressor that I’ve lost count. My favorite feature is being able to set the exact PSI and let it shut itself off when it reaches that pressure. That’s particularly handy with things that have a maximum pressure because I don’t have to stand there worrying that I’m about to turn an innocent inflatable into a projectile. There are preset modes for different uses, but you can also adjust the pressure yourself, which is what I usually do. The digital display shows the current pressure, target pressure, battery level, and selected mode. The built-in light is another nice touch for roadside or nighttime use, with flashlight and flashing/strobe options. One thing I would improve is the control panel: the display itself is illuminated, but the actual control buttons are not. Trying to figure out which button you’re pressing in the dark—especially when you’re standing beside a car on the side of the road—is a bit of a guessing game. I’ve also found the display can be difficult to read in bright daylight depending on the angle. It isn’t the fastest inflator I’ve ever used, but for something this compact and cordless, I’m willing to trade a little speed for the convenience. The battery has also impressed me. I’ve charged it, used it repeatedly for a ridiculous assortment of things, drained it completely, charged it again, and kept putting it to work. It has handled everything I’ve thrown at it without ever making me hunt for an electrical outlet or power source. That is, of course, unless the inflator itself needs to be charged up. And in that case, it charges to full battery quite quickly. Just be aware that the cord/connector can get quite warm during extended use; there is a protective rubber piece on the cord that can be slid up or down along the cord, allowing you to handle the cord when you need to manipulate or remove it from whatever you’re inflating. For additional comfort and safety, though, I usually give it a chance to cool down between prolonged jobs. Overall, I’m very happy with it. Small enough to keep in the car, powerful enough to handle a surprisingly long list of inflation jobs, and a whole lot less ridiculous than the setup I used to have to create just to put air in something. Considering how many flat tires I’ve dealt with over the years, having this little compressor along is very comforting. I’m off to inflate another herding ball. ------- OlarHike | Cordless Tire Inflator | 150 PSI, Dual Power, Digital Pressure Gauge, LED Light, Set of Nozzle Attachments

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What does the "Dual mode inflation" mean? - Help reduce battery anxiety!**
A: 1. Battery Mode: Real 5400 mAh battery capacity makes your daily inflation get efficiently and easily done. 2. Wired Mode: For emergency when battery depleted, the DC cigarette lighter is provided as a back-up power to continue outdoor inflation.

**Q: How does this portable tire inflator work? - Four steps to inflate fast and right!**
A: 1. Hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn on. 2. Attach air hose firmly to car tire nozzle. 3. Lock the tire valve by pressing the button on air hose to prevent air leakage. 4. Set the desired pressure you need, press button to start inflation.

**Q: What is the inflation rate of this product? - Data by repeated experiments!**
A: For 195/65/R15 tires, inflating from 29 to 35 PSI just takes about 1 min, but inflating from 0 to 35 PSI completely needs 6.5 mins. More larger size of the tires, more time the inflation should need.

**Q: How is the product charged and how long does it take to fully charge? - Charging safety protection!**
A: Use the provided Type-C cable to charge via the bottom port of this product (adapter not included). Full charge takes about 3 hours. It features overload and high-temperature protection. 30-day free return or exchange and 2-year quality help service.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Inelegant Solution
*by D***R on May 26, 2025*

Having previously purchased a compact rechargeable tire inflator, and being very happy with it, I ordered the OlarHike tire inflator. My other one is used as part of my tire repair kit I keep on my motorcycle at all times (I've been stranded a few times and now always carry a kit). It's proven capable and convenient so I thought another for my son's car would be a good call. Upon receiving the OlarHike inflator the first thing I noticed was how large it was compared to the other one I own. The OlarHike is ~6.5x3x2.5 inches. The other is 4.75x2.5x1.5 inches, but with a caveat the air hose is permanently attached making total height ~8 inches. Just using hands to measure the OlarHike feels about 50% heavier, so it may have a bigger battery. I used the OlarHike to inflate a 245/40 17' tire from empty to 35 PSI. I removed the valve stem to vacate the air, set pressure cut off to 35 PSI, and started my timer. It required 6 minutes, 45 seconds to fill to 35 PSI. That was with the tire off the vehicle. The inflator was noisy, but all of them are. Despite the extended running the plastic surround ensured the unit never felt hot to the touch. Ventilation for the air holes was minimal, so not sure how effective the internal cooling was. But it sounded and performed consistently for this basic test. It appeared to use approximately half of the full charge to accomplish the task. When it shut down at 35 PSI there was no air I could hear or feel leaking from the device or the air hose. One area I don't like compared to other unit is you have to screw on the air hose to the unit. It has pros and cons. Pro, it has a longer hose, approximately 22 inches allowing more flexibility in reaching valve stem. But it also requires another item to track and carry, and it uses that attachment you have to push on and then bend the locking mechanism 90-degrees to attach to the valve stem. This takes up space and some tires, at least on motorcycles, make it hard to attach this way. The other inflator has my preferred method, with a permanently attached air hose that loops over to plug into itself and attached by screwing onto the valve stem. That cord is only 7.5 inches, but has always worked fine if you hold it. The OlarHike has other accessories such as inflator adapters for balls, and a DC plug for charging from a car's cigarette lighter. It also includes a 7x11.5 inch black cloth bag to hold the inflator and all it ancillary parts. The OlarHike isn't bad, and if I didn't have another rechargeable tire inflator I might think it's great, but in comparison I very much prefer the other one I've got. The OlarHike is $40 for the 9000mAh version; the other (Fanttik X9) costs about $10 more with current discounts. That makes the OlarHike a fair value. While it's bigger than than I expected, for something being carried in a 4-wheeled vehicle it is inconsequential. Overall, it does what it's supposed to do without issues. No telling on durability, but that's always the case until you've used it for a while. I'd strongly recommend consideration of the OlarHike, but also doing a bit of comparison to decide what style works best for your needs.
