the wire on it arrived broken so we placed one of the replacements on it and that broke within a few minutes so we placed the last replacement on it and it would not tighten up the wire. It was returned right away. If the wires cant handle being installed they sure cant handle slicing anything.

I BOUGHT ONE SIMILAR TO THIS ONE YEARS AGO AND LOVED IT. IT FINALLY AFTER 20 YEARS BROKE HALF IN TWO.  I HAD TO FIND ANOTHER ONE BECAUSE WE USED IT ALL THE TIME. GREAT FOR SLICING HARD AND SOFT CHEESES.  IT'S EASY TO CLEAN AND HAS TWO EXTRA WIRES IN THE EVENT THE ONE ON IT NOW BREAKS.  GREAT PRODUCT. MAKES A NICE GIFT FOR CHEESE LOVERS ALSO.

The marble base is nice but the wire cutter didn't work well at all it broke pretty damn easy! I do not recommend this wire cutter.
