At the end of the reactivation period, be careful with handling.. The silica will retain heat for some time, so caution is the byword. Silica gel can be reactivated countless number of times. Also note that silica can be an irritant on skin or eyes, so don't open the original packs. Silica supposedly can also be reactivated in a microwave oven, but I don't have any info on using that technique. Of course, cost-effectiveness is a tradeoff reactivating silica packets using the oven.
