## Description

Over 90 years ago, the Season Brand was the inspiration of a Polish immigrant who started as a food merchant selling specialty products to grocery stores in the Northeast Region. By sourcing the highest quality ingredients Season grew as a trusted brand for specialty fish. In the 1950s, as Season’s reputation as a diversified line of high quality, canned seafood, specialty vegetables grew, Season became a household staple in cities throughout the United States. Today, the Season Brand continues to source only the highest quality ingredients bringing consumers the superior taste they have known to love.

Review: Thumbs up - Very good taste and quality.
Review: Clean and tasty. - They are truly "skinless"--no bits of scale remaining. And they taste great. Not "fishy", not that I mind that, but some folks do. I add a few shakes of Frank's Red Hot seasoning and eat them right out of the can. I'm glad I found these.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does the nutrition information include consuming the olive oil as well?**
A: No it does not. It only includes "drained" sardines. If they included the olive oil nobody would buy them because it would more than double the calorie count. Think about 85 grams in a serving size, which includes all the fish. And then there is another 39 grams of something (olive oil) you have to count calories for. That gets tricky because you have to convert a weight-value (grams) into a liquid measure (for olive oil) or you can figure out how many calories 39 grams of olive oil have. I googled "how many calories are in a gram of olive oil" and then multiplied that amount (9) by 39. That was 351. So... you have the 200 calories from the fish PLUS 351 for the oil. That is a H.U.G.E. 551 calories total.

**Q: How much mercury?**
A: I can tell you that my physician recommended this brand to me specifically because of its reputation for being low heavy metal content. He eats it himself (that and wild caught salmon).

**Q: Boneless? Spineless?**
A: Don’t get fooled by the cheaper variety, they have skin & bones and are gross tasting. Make sure they have the blue flag that says skinless& boneless.

**Q: Can you eat the olive oil that come with it?**
A: Yes. I add it in with my quinoa, vegetable and Season Sardines.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clean and tasty.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tastes like tuna 😂
*by C***R on 14 December 2025*

I was always scared of sardines. They seemed like a canned horror my mother ate. And even once I was ready to try, I was worried the boneless, skinless options would still have a stray bone somewhere. But I've been subscribed to the Skinless & Boneless in Extra Virgin Olive Oil for many months now in an effort to maximize my Omega intake, and they are great!! Sometimes I turn them into 'tuna salad', sometimes squeeze fresh lemon on them, and I've even tried adding taco seasonings to use them as a nacho topper (but cooking destroys some Omegas, so I avoid this). Or I eat them as-is. The olive oil is important for assisting absorption of the Omegas, so I never drain it. And it improves the taste/texture as well. I like stirring them up and spreading them on crackers or garlic bagel chips, but they can be eaten 'whole' (they hold their shape fairly well if you aren't trying to mash them up). For the protein + Omegas, it's a great caloric and monetary value!
