The combo does NOT come with line but I decided to put on some blue camo braided line from KastKing. After tuning and some practice (working through the backlashes 💀) the cast is very smooth! The weight of the rod with reel attached is perfect— while I still have yet to fish this combo longer than an hour, I have had no issues with fatigue. I have only caught one fish on the rod but felt the strike clearly. Since switching from an old Shakespeare rod I feel like I have more control over my lure presentation as well as fish strikes.
