Not only does this spray work well for leather climbing shoes, but it's very effective with the synthetic leather variety which are especially troublesome with odors persisting even after hand and machine washing. While I stated I generally only use these with climbing shoes, I have used them on my steel work boots and a couple of sprays keeps them fresh even in a hot warehouse environment.
