Tip: If you want the rope to soften quickly, you can soak it in water for about ten minutes and then take it out. thank you for your purchase. So, I purchased the 3mm 18” option and it is 19” long which works for me. The clasp on this one is also much easier to open, but also stays closed until I choose to open it. I also like that I can wear it all the time including when I'm in the pool or shower. It is very sturdy and comfortable to wear.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Attractive and Durable

i waited a couple months to write this review so I could see how well the necklace cord held up after weeks of constant wear. I bought mine to hold a little pendant someone gifted me; it might be the Buddha on there, but it could just as easily be some guy who delivers mail in Sri Lanka. Either way, it's a cool little pendant and I wanted to put it on something that would hold it securely. This cord works perfectly for that. When it first arrived, it seemed a little stiff and "plastic-y," but even then it *looked* like high quality leather. After a few days it lost most of that stiffness and began feeling more like a genuine leather cord. The only real noticeable difference? This on -- unlike leather -- is waterproof and most everything else-proof as well. After two months, I can't see any signs of wear. And I even sleep/shower/swim with the thing on. I'm guessing that *eventually* it'll wear out and I'll have to replace it. But based on the wear so far, that could be a year or two, or maybe more, away. Finally, the packaging is great and the little starfish mentioned by others is a nice touch. Also, the clasp is pure genius! Very sturdy and secure, but at the same time small and unobtrusive. It really is a nice bit of engineering. Overall, this is a great product for the money.
